Camping is Expensive

I am slightly taken aback by how expensive it can be to stay at a campground. $35-40 a night plus tax? Really? OK, so we don’t have our RV yet, so I’m not even sure what amenities we will need. But still…staying at a campground can get pretty pricey.

To help with the cost, I have been researching various campground memberships. Since our first trip is only going to last one month, it doesn’t seem cost effective for some of the membership options out there. I have been looking at everything from Good Sam/AAA discounts, to Passport America, to Thousand Trails. I will post a separate blog for each of the clubs with some information that I found helpful.

Do you have a campground membership? If so, please share your experience in the comments.
